Your Class Experience

Our classes are taught in the lineage of Channa Dassanayaka, with a focus on nurturing the body, heart, and soul on all levels. The classes weave guided meditation, breath work and physical hatha asana practice into a slow vinyasa flow that is open to all levels, and abilities. As flexibility is cultivated on the mat, a resulting flowing of grace, on all levels, will heighten experiential life beauty and provide greater awareness to protect yourself from hostile energetic forces.

Through participation and integration of Dassanayaka Yoga teachings, students cultivate a deeper awareness of self and the true nature of your current relationship to all things. Many discover that the benefits of the teachings are not “what we will get out of the practice”, but instead “what can we leave behind”.

Dassanayaka Yoga is here to support all beings in becoming more spiritually sensitive, and socially conscious. We invite you to join us at one of the many classes offered throughout the East Bay, or Contact Us for more information.

Uniting Awareness Center, Walnut Creek

Under the guidance of founder Channa Dassanayaka, construction of the Uniting Awareness Center, San Francisco has commenced with peaceful integration into its surrounds of beautiful old Oak trees, Californiam native plants, plenty of lavender, birds and bees. The center will provide a sacred space for you to connect to the true nature of your being through meditation, movement and environment. With much consideration and intuition the center’s buildings, walking trails, waterfalls and places ‘to-be-still’ in nature will further enhance the center’s offerings to its guests.

Opening in the fall of 2017, the center will host small boutique group classes (maximum 6 mats), individual yoga/meditation tuition and ‘Living In Truth’ spiritual counselling. We invite you to Contact Us for further information.
